Torre Canne

Seaside location with beaches of thin and white sand that forms part of the Regional Natural Park Dune Costiere. Also known for the presence of the thermal baths and the relative treatments health and wellness.


Selva of Fasano

Hilly landscape situated at around 420 meters high on the level of the sea and characterized by natural flora, moderate climate and particularly healthy air. From the top of its hills overlooks the territory of trulli and caves, offering many scenic views.


Zoosafari – Fasanolandia

It is a tourist and cultural complex that includes a zoological garden and an amusement park. Zoosafari is a natural park of 140 hectares, among the widest of Europe, that entertains an elevated number of animal kind, where it is possible to admire lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, zebras, bears, flamingos, reptiles, dolphins and many other species. You can observe the several varieties of animals from a close distance using your own vehicle (car, camper or bus), the Metrozoo (panoramic trein on rails), or on foot crossing the pedestrian area. Fasanolandia, instead, is an amusement park with numerous attractions, for adults and children.

Archaeological park of Egnazia

Located in a fascinating naturalistic context among olive trees, farms and crystalline sea, is one of the most interesting archaeological parks of Puglia. The archaeological site testifies the history of Egnazia, inhabited since the XV century B.C. and known for its privileged geographical position. Thanks to the presence of the dock and the via Traiana, it was a strategic commercial port between West and East. A whole outdoor ancient city that shows the rests of residences, buildings of cult and monuments of Roman age, mighty wall of defense and necropolis.
Adjacent to the site, out of the walls, there is the Archaeological Museum where numerous finds are exposed.



The territory of Fasano is known for its numerous Masserie, a symbolic structure of the geographical and economic organization connected to the latifundium. The Masserie were great agricultural firms where were the residence of the land owner, the lodgings for the farmers and the places of service, born around the VII century and become with time real strengthened autonomous structures. Every Masseria is unique in its kind, organized according to its functions and the geographical conformation of the territory. Among the most important asserie there ere St. Domenico, Sant’Angelo De’ Grecis, Ottava Grande, Maccarone and Torre Coccaro.


Rupestrian settlements

Are an important example of “life in a cave”, a way to live that marked the beginning of the XI century. Gradually abandoning Egnazia, demolished by the invasions succeeded after the fall of the Roman empire, the populations moved to the inside, where the flow of ancient rivers engraved the calcareous rock the subsidences of the ground, called “lame”. The walls of the “lame”, made of tender tufo, allowed to dig whole villages with caves turned to residences, refuges of animals, places devoted to agricultural activities, mills and beautiful decorated crypts with Byzantine frescos. Among the most important installations there is the cave park Lama d’Antico, near the railway station of Fasano, that is the greatest, with a beautiful church-crypt with two aisles.


Dolmen of Montalbano

known also as “The Paladins Table”, it is an important testimony of the “megalitic civilization ” probably erect in the age of Bronze, between 2000 and 1500 B.C. About its functions and purpose have been elaborate different hypotheses connected to magic or religious rites, to astronomic observations or to the cult of corpses. According to one of the most accredited readings the dolmens were sacrificial altars. For other researchers they were rudimentary, but imposing instead, sepulchral constructions.


Little temple of Seppannibale

It is an ancient religious building that represents one of the most important archaeological and architectural finds of Fasano. Entirely realized in local tufo, it is characterized by a quadrangular plant with three aisles, with two little domes. The inside of the structure, at first completely decorated to fresco, preserves some traces of the ancient mural.



building of eclectic architecture influenced by the Moorish style, a type of Islamic art, built in 1912 on the hills of the Selva di Fasano by Damaso Bianchi, artist and nobleman from Fasano. Built as summer residence where to entertain the intellectuals and artists of the period. It represents the perfect reproduction of an oriental construction with terraces and a high tower-minareto that offers a suggestive panorama, with a beautiful view on the whole landscape.


Museum of the olive oil

among apulian enogastronomic excellences detaches the olive oil. The eighteenth-century trappeto of Masseria Sant’Angelo de Graecis, known also as San Lorenzo Abbey, hosts to its inside an interesting museum, where you can admire the ancient tools that tell the history of oil production: the great millstone, the swimming pools to deposit the fruit of the pressing, the fiscolis, the frangisansas and the great wooden presses places on the sides of the central corridor.

Matrice Church

Devoted to the holy patron St. John the Baptist, it is situated in the heart of the old city. Opened to the cult in 1600, after a long period of works and remakings, the church introduces a walled headstone on the lintel of the central door, in memory of the contribution of the clergy and the people of Fasano. The external façade is in local tufo and on late Renaissance style, valorized by columns, niches and a rose window, masterpiece of handicraft sculpture and rich of decorations. The bell tower has a square base, built in Baroque style. The inside of the sacred building develops in three aisles with floor in marble, canvas of local artists and fresco on the vault of the central aisle. The presbytery is overhung by the stately cappellone, that hosts the statue of the Madonna of the Well and the pipe organ.


Place to visit


Town with an historical center of medieval origin, overlapped to the rests of messapic constructions of the V century B.C, is known for the tall walls that look out the sea, the “calette” of sand and sea caves, the numerous “contrade” (around 100) characterized by suggestive ancient constructions, for the castle Charles V and for the churches of the ancient suburb, among which it detaches the stately Basilica Cattedrale.



Splendid medieval suburb castled on a line of tall and jagged coast. Polignano is fascinating for the vicolettis full of poetry with their typical white houses, the terraces on the edge of the sea that offer stunning, the caves dug in the rock and the crystalline sea. Not to be missed are the caletta Lama Monachile, the statue of Domenico Modugno and the sea caves among which it detaches the fascinating Cave Palazzese.



City famous for its characteristic houses called trulli, typical of the rural tradition of the Valle d’Itria. The trullo is a type of conical construction in traditional dry stone from central-southern Puglia. The trullo buildings in Puglia and in particular the trulli of Alberobello have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO since 1996.
Visiting Alberobello is like taking a trip to a timeless country.



Said the “white city” for the characteristic coloration with mortar painting of the ancient village. The historical center is characterized by tight alleys, numerous stairways wound by an ancient historical charm, enchanting piazzette and panoramic views. To visit the fifteenth-century Cathedral with a façade of late Gothic forms, situated in the heart of the historical center. Typical of the countries, instead, is the intense presence of masserie.



It leans out on the magnificent Valley of Itria, in the so-called Murgia of trullis, known for the presence of trulli, secular olive trees, countries and dry stone walls. Among the places symbol of Cisternino detaches Vittorio Emanuele III Plaza with its beautiful Tower of the clock, absorbed in the authentic atmospheres of the districts characterized by alleys, loggias, arcs and stairways.



Village castled on a highland in the south-oriental area of the Murgia of trullis, in the heart of the Valley of Itria. The name of the town points out the circular form of the ancient center, risen around the year thousand, typical for the white houses with sloping roofs called “Cummerse”, the balconies rich of flowers and aromatic plants that colour the alleys of the historical center and the bell towers.
Place known also for its good wine.


Oasis of Torre Guaceto

It is a natural reserve that gives an explosion of colors among bays, dunes, ponds and crystalline sea. The protected sea area of Torre Guaceto offers calette of thin sand and beaches, free or organised, that are undoubtedly among the most beautiful of Puglia. It is possible to discover the reserve through underwater excursions, bike trekking, simple walks or sailing courses, catamaran and windserf.


Castellana Grotte

Known above all for the Caves, a spectacular complex of underground hollows of carsic origin, developed for a length of 3348 meters and that reaches a maximum depth of 122 meters from the surface. The beauty of the Caves of Castellana calls visitors from the whole world, that can enjoy an extraordinary driven excursion in an amazing scenery among caverns, canyon, deep abysses, fossils, concretions, stalactites and stalagmites.


Martina Franca

It is a fourteenth-century town known for the Baroque architecture of its buildings. Among the principal places of interest there are XX September square, the Ducal Building, the Basilica of S. Martin and Cavour street. To visit, the Wood of Pianelle that represents a fantastic natural reserve where it is possible to appreciate the typical flora and fauna of the territory.

Elected European Capital of Culture 2019, is known all over the world for the “Sassi of Matera”, cavy constructions built in the natural caves of the Murgia Materana, declared in the 1993 World Patrimony of humanity from the Unesco.
